Rising sous-chef Kelly Matlock's sudden collapse at work is a wake-up call. Disillusioned and burned out, she's retreated to her sister Jillian's house in Virgin River to rest and reevaluate. Puttering in Jill's garden and cooking with her heirloom vegetables is wonderful, but Virgin River is a far cry from San Francisco. Kelly's starting to feel a little too unmotivated… until she meets Lief Holbrook. The handsome widower looks more like a lumberjack than a sophisticated screenwriter - a combination Kelly finds irresistible. But less appealing is Lief's rebellious stepdaughter, Courtney. She's the reason they moved from L.A., but Courtney's finding plenty of trouble even in Virgin River. Kelly's never fallen for a guy with such serious baggage, but some things are worth fighting for. Besides, a bratty teenager can't be any worse than a histrionic chef… right?

"AN ENTIRE SERIES THAT NEVER DISAPOINTS"
Fact, I am a Robyn Carr fan. I love her work. I am a Virgin River fan and I've greatly enjoyed learning all about this town and its extraordinarily interesting inhabitants.
Being a series lover, I especially enjoy finding one that is populated with vivid characters and a setting that is appealing. Then I just sit back and enjoy each visit. I can highly recommend these books to readers who like an ongoing series that takes the time to allow you to get to know the characters, for they appear again and again, giving us an opportunity to know what their life is now after the happy ending. These are romances, but with a little oomph, drama, and suspense to them. Beautifully written, expertly crafted each and every book is a keeper adding to the richness of the entire series and then you have the narration of Therese Plummer - simply an unbeatable combination.

love love characters
this writer does not disappoints. wonderful story teller. beautiful character development. complex story development and the intertwining with other books in the series.
