Publisher's Summary

Janet Evanovich's No. 1 New York Times best-selling sensation Stephanie Plum returns in her latest captivating thriller where mutilated corpses litter the streets of New Jersey.

It's a pretty routine week for bounty hunter Stephanie Plum.

Headless bodies have started appearing across town in Trenton, New Jersey. At first, it's just corpses from a funeral home and the morgue that have had the heads removed. Then a homeless man is murdered and dumped behind a church. Stephanie Plum knows that she's the only one with a prayer of catching this killer.

If that's not enough, Diesel's back in town. The six-foot-tall, blond-haired hunk accepts no limits - that includes locked doors, closed windows and underwear. Trenton's hottest cop, Joe Morelli, isn't pleased at his arrival, nor is Ranger, the high-powered security consultant with his own plans for Stephanie.

Jersey's favourite bounty hunter is stuck in the middle with more questions than answers. Who is behind the startling epidemic of mutilated corpses? And is the enigmatic Diesel's sudden appearance a coincidence or the cause of recent deadly events?

Just like the books

You know how when you read a book you’re in to, you make voices for the characters and really get into the story? THIS is that!
Lorelei King is amazing and it’s just like I was reading the book myself.
Very happy ‘reader’

Missing something...

As always I enjoyed the characters, especially Lula. However the introduction of a 3rd love interest was too much & there is still no growth with Morelli or his character. The idea of zombies was too much. Keep it real.

Dont waste your credit

Same ole some ole. I barely got through this book it was boring, nothing new, OH why oh why did a waste my credit. I have read the plumb books in the past and started to get bored but after 8 years I thought hey I will try one again. That was a mistake there is no growth in any of the characters. Morelli is just as soft for putting up with Stephanies infidelities. Ranger is just getting creepy and her new love interest come on, really!! Grandma Mazur is just annoying if not more and Lula is just as useless as ever. I did not find this book funny or quirky. I eye rolled more often that not. By the 24th book in the series I would expect something different but you read one Plumb book and you know what the rest will be like just different characters and a different car she wrecks. I think its past the stage that Stephanie needs to retire.
