Publisher's Summary

Roxanne has suffered a concussion after a severe bump to the head, but that's okay - she's having the best hallucination ever. It involves being rescued by an incredibly handsome man who can turn into a wolf and lusts after her like no man ever has before. No, really - in her hometown, plain, chubby Roxanne was lusted after by no-one. Her handsome shifter hallucination is so hot, she finds herself wishing she'd never recover.

Steele Battle, wolf shifter, Sheriff of Timber Valley, has met the love of his life - and he must leave her behind, with her memory erased, because she's human and can never know about the existence of his people. A year later, he's still mourning the loss of the woman who captured his heart - when she strolls in to the bar in his remote, out-of-the-way town, which is not on any human map. How did she find him and what does she want? To keep her safe, Steel has no choice but to hold her captive until the town's shaman returns to erase her memory for good - but will Steele be able to part with the love of his life a second time?

Really Good

This is the story of Roxanne and Steele Battle. They meet after Roxanne crashes her car and Steele rescues her. They spend an amazing weekend together sheltering from a storm. However there is just the issue that Steele is a wolf shifter and Roxanne is human, so Steele calls in shaman who wipes her memory and he lets her go unfortunately for Steele that’s not the end of it and here will be repercussions that will affect the couple, shifters and some humans on a level that is irreversible. Well worth the listen.

Annoying and despicable attitudes.

As the next book in the series it was great. As a romance it was poor.
We get resolution about the missing shifters, we get a new township with some great characters, both human and shifter.
What we don't get is much in the way of romance or connection between Roxanne, a very insecure overweight woman and her shifter mate Steele.
Roxanne spends most of the book with amnesia, wondering who she is and what she has forgotten.
Steele impregnates his mate but allows her mind to be wiped from remembering him.
Really cannot say I enjoyed the two main H’s at all but did love the background story.
Hope Clara gets a mate and who were Brice and Donavan?
Bought, read and reviewed years ago but review is missing.

Narration is good but my rating has to go down.
I listened to the audible version and really hated how this played out.
The mind wiping and the lack of respect towards Roxanne, by both Steele and the others, was despicable.
The whole way this was done was just mean and not the way I want my shifter stories to go.
The fact the elders and wardens were so prejudiced and never relented in their attitude, even though Roxanne and the Gunns were the saviour of the missing shifters, means nothing to them. Bigots and aholes, the lot of them.
I did love the ending though Roxanne’s fixation on her weight was annoying.
