Publisher's Summary
When Skye Harris shows up on the Devil's Playground's doorstep asking the Brotherhood for help with a gang taking over her hometown, it's time for Finn Storm to step up. The bikers might be tough, but he's tougher - and armed with Brotherhood tech and a warrior's heart, he's going to get the job done, no matter what or who stands in his way.
The one weak spot in his plan is in his heart - Skye gets under his skin like no other woman has, and she's not going to let him take all the danger on his shoulders alone. But when she's caught in the crossfire, Finn has to decide whether to follow his heart or his carefully crafted plan to not only clean up the town, but heal his soul.

another good plotline
Book 2. I thought this was going to be tricky..being bikers and all but sheryl wrote it in such a way that it created a unique solo situation in which the brotherhood could swing into action.
It took a bit to roll into the action but finally the pace picked up.
Finn didn't have as much pull for me as Dylan and I'm not sure why. I get his background. His drive. His alpha confidence but I couldn't connect.
Skye took a bit to get as sassy as Jessie but I kinda enjoyed getting into her character.
I loved the past characters coming in to play and as the action ramped, I just knew the other shoe was going to drop in a typical Sheryl way. And it did.
I thought this suspense situation was a tad grittier than book 1 and the out was cleverly weaved in.
The trope of the romance is the same as book 1 as the H's thought process is still the same.
However, for a sadistic pres it gets a bit
thin on the smarts side. And all I can say is hallelujah for Trey's gadgets.
I like the way Sheryl takes it a bit further after the action is said and done. It's the romance side blooming as the H and h navigate love.
As in book 1 Rock Engle did a great job in narrating this series, better than other books he's voiced.
