Good book

Good continuation of book one. Some events were obvious from the beginning others were surprising.

great listen

Read the first book and was sad when it ended. This book is a great addition to the saga. I hope another one comes out soon.
Well narrated too!

Another fantastic offering from joe Abercrombie. Narration although good probably not as good as Pacey.

Another Abercrombie Corker.

Abercrombie and Elliot combine for a fantastic adventure story. I look forward to the next book.

hard not to compare narrators

narration is bland and monotone in character and delivery.
especially compared with Steven Pacey
which I'm sure, most who bought this audiobook were expecting, if not Steven Pacey, none the less an epic performance.
nope, weirdest choice. I'd have awaited some other talent. story is good. makes me decide to begin reading again instead of audiobooks slavery.

Wonderful

Terrific novel. A powerful and subtle journey beautifully written. Surprisingly touching with touches of humour and plenty of original ideas. Simply excellent.

WOW and here he is!

Now he has my attention. I reviewed the first book and said it was tame for Abercrombie which makes sense because I think he aimed the trilogy at young adults. I prefer him writing his dark adult fantasy, but you know, when I got to this one, book 2, and the character viewpoint changed and the story got so much better and I was glued to every page - well, I thought HERE HE IS! He is truly a GOD in the fanatsy genre - for all adults young and old!
