Story is great love interest not so much
This book started off fantastic, the whole premise of it was awesome. But the whole childhood friend/soul mate thing just sucked. Dudes been in hell, beaten and tortured for 8 years doesn’t trust anyone and after like 2 weeks with his childhood friend he’s accepting a relationship when he already said he wasn’t interested and preferred human women..
Honestly other than that the whole story seems awesome and I want to continue this series due to the fact I loved the anime trope system. But I can’t deal with the goddess and his reception of her, yeah use her for training and protection but falling for her.. just doesn’t make sense.
All in all though if you like the whole romance thing fixing a broken heart you’ll love this series I only got like 4-5 hours in
4/5 because I don’t want to give this author a bad star rating due to his other series and it’s only my personal preference of not liking the romance that I don’t enjoy this
