Worth the money
An engaging story line and excellent narrator. One of the best narrators I’ve heard. Definitely worth buying.

Fantastic!
The narration is soooo good. The characters are great and the story romps along. Go for the ride and enjoy the bloody fun!
I’m a Fox fan now- give me more.

Absolutely brilliant
What a gripping story, intense, often dark, the good, bad and evil. Outstanding narration with all the voices brilliantly acted. Cannot wait to start the next in the series.

Deserving of the accolades
Enjoy the way Candice Fox writes. Descriptions are spot on without being pretentiously verbose and Lani John Tupu‘s narration is outstanding!

I am loving Candice and Lani
This is the fifth book I’ve listen to that Candice has either written or co-authored and I am loving her work. I don’t have any flash works to critique her work, other than Candice writes a fabulous story that flows well and is compelling.
I have listened to a few books narrated by Lani (most of those are Candice’s books) and I find he is the perfect match for Candice’s books.
On to the next one now...🙃

Underdone in every way.
Half-baked noir. Almost every proposition requires a massive leap of faith and logic. The characters are undeveloped and the crimes are brutish and - again - half-explained. It's well read and the story is interesting enough to keep you listening - just. The real issue is that nothing is even remotely believable and the relationships and motivations are insufficiently unpacked to make the people we're supposed to care about rise from the page. I understand I'm in the minority here, but this was a disappointment.

So good! Beginning of a series
Two kids survive when their rich family are murdered. Guess what they do with that childhood trauma, fear, and growing inner darkness?
Can't wait to see what Eden the cop and her partner do next. Such a great concept. Next book Eden and I've just downloaded it.
