About this listen

Secrets. Everybody’s got ‘em, including me. Especially me.

The difference is mine will never be revealed, whereas I can easily get yours, assuming the price offered by your enemy is right and the scales of justice appeal to my personal standards of ethics. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. The thing that’s not so easy for a shy guy like me? Finding Ms. Right and locking her down.

Speaking of Ms. Right, the very night I was set up with Hannah Milliken by our mutual friend, I knew I’d one day kneel before her with a ring in hand. Hannah’s the kind of girl who’ll gleefully dance like a gorilla with me in the coolest nightclub or belt out a karaoke duet from Grease like her very life depends on it. She’s gorgeous, too. Funny and smart. And she even wears librarian glasses. See? Perfect.

I don’t doubt Hannah’s the one for me. Indubitably, she is. I only wonder how a dork like me could possibly land a goddess like her.

Unfortunately, when catastrophe strikes, all my questions are rendered moot. Now that Hannah knows the truth about me not actually working in cybersecurity—as well as the questionable things I’ve done to win her over—will I lose my dream girl forever, or is there still a chance for us to chase our happily ever after?

Hacker in Love is a steamy, funny, heart-pounding, standalone contemporary romance with a whole lot of feels, laughs, spice, and swoons by USA Today and internationally best-selling romance author Lauren Rowe.

Sweet and Swooney

I love all the books in this series and was glad to finally get Henn & Hannah's story. So sweet and swooney with a dash of danger, kept me riveted till the end. It was nice to have the other stories and characters woven into this book. As always, the narration was spot on.

Nailed it with Quirk!

I was in 2 minds about hackers. I couldn't wait for henn, and the first part of the book is exactly his quirky character to a T. although I saw him digging a big hole for himself, which simply adds to the plotline. the tone of the book that lauren sets is executed wonderfully by John Lane. He has great inflections that roll with Henns personality, and although it was slow going, it was still gently paced, building the world both H and h are made of.
what mixed me was the crisis. I expected Henn to sort of switch to something like stealth mode... but the comical Peter just stayed the course, as did the h. She was in a crisis but kept her quirky humour just the same. it was kinda like an anti climax for me.
I really wanted a switch into serious dont screw with me hacker mode for the interim of the suspense.
Maybe I'm reading too many military suspense books.
Having said that, the storyline was so much fun and gave me heaps of enjoyable hours and lots of crack me up, belly laugh moments.
Reid was superb, and it was great to have listened to The Rivers Trilogy so I could forgive some of his flaws and fist pump his input.
I loved revisiting the wedding. other endings and all my faves.... and being reminded of the A . The captain is still my swoony alpha.
I'm so glad you wrote Hacker Lauren, as it's a brilliantly crafted humour filled story.

Boring & no romantic tension

I have read/listened to ALL of Lauren’s books and loved them. They were all exciting with lots of unresolved romantic and sexual tension.

This one? Painful. First, how old are these two characters? 5 “easy peezy lemon squeasy”. They talk to each other as if they are 10 years old. And the characters are bland. No sex appeal. The story line is as boring as it gets. No lead up to their relationship, no excitement. Straight into their vanilla relationship.
Loves all the other books. The bands, the Morgan brothers. They were gritty and fun.
I can’t even finish this. Painful.
