About this listen
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.
Almost a decade ago, Prescott, an ex-special forces Green Beret, was boots on the ground in his new role with the FBI's Critical Incidence Response Group, searching for his childhood friend Kaylie after she disappeared from her research camp in Nigeria without a trace.
Now, the NSA thinks they've identified Kaylie's image in Syria. Prescott turns to Iniquus Puzzler, Lynx, to help him prove that the picture and the missing scientist are one and the same. If the NSA is right, this woman has days to live. The clock is ticking.
Lynx struggles to make progress finding Kaylie who may well be alive but is in a region where women are invisible behind their veils. Complicating the search, Lynx is fighting her own crisis. A psychic maelstrom thunders through her system. Her husband, Ranger Angel Sobado, killed by an IED two years ago, has gone to Hell and is begging Lynx to save him. Before she can marry Striker, she needs her husband to rest in peace.

and it all comes together. twist, shock, wow
And it all comes together. This was absolutely fantastic. All the Lynx series up to now and their loose knots came to fruition. There's a lot of paranormal information along with new characters in this book and I have to admit I really enjoy the intricacies that Fiona writes around Lynx's gifts.
No romance here, just lots and lots of information and mystery and a mission down range for lynx. It was thrilling to have strike force characters all in the know.
And a suprise twist which was hinted in the synopsis.
This set of books (I'm including all Ms Quinns different series) is just brilliant.
And the narrator Jesse, gee whiz she's awesome. I'm just sorry that the other series that chronologically loop into this series, is narrated by others that don't use the accent that Jesse has kicked off with. Their narration is great, I love the narrator's but unfortunately it's one of the only times I'm disappointed with audible.
