About this listen
Dr. Carly Cambridge, wildlife biologist, returns to the Texas Gulf Coast to manage the latest Habitats for Nature project, restoring the woods and wetlands to their natural state. She is devoted to the environmental cause with a passion usually reserved for a lover - something she hasn't had since a disastrous love affair 10 years earlier. Having sworn off women and relationships, Carly is perfectly content to live her life alone while she focuses on her latest project.
Wildlife photographer Pat Ryan is duped into volunteering her talents to the Habitats For Nature cause, but she wants no part of the overzealous Dr. Cambridge.
While they spend most of their time sparring and bickering, an early season hurricane finds them fighting nature - instead of each other - to save the wetlands and the birds that brought them together.
Soon Carly finds her heart opening, little by little, and struggles to ignore the feelings that are growing between them. And Pat, always searching for that certain someone to take her breath away, can't believe for a moment that the woman she's been waiting for could possibly be Carly.

Too short and not enough substance
A fun and easy read but we needed more substance to the story. Too short, waiting for more.

Short and sweet
I loved these characters and their chemistry but it’s a shame it was so short … still enjoyable

Great story, fabulous narrator
Once again Abby Craydon has made a wonderful story come to life with her gift of narration.

Enjoyed it, but would have loved more
I enjoyed this, I think it could have been longer, more insight into the characters and their pasts. The 1 thing that I REALLY didn’t like was the constant disruption and lack of time the 2 main characters had. I can’t stand how so many lesbian books have that annoying character or repeating situation. It takes away from the over all story IMO, I wish writers would just stop doing it.

Be yours forever
Carly is setting up a reclaimed bird sanctuary on the Texas Gulf Coast. She needs a wildlife photographer to help publise her Foundation. Pat is a lonesome photographer who only has her aunt and her brilliant photos to comfort her. They survive a hurricane and find that they have so much in common, as well as their love for egrets.

Roll out those tropes Gerri
For anyone who enjoys Hills books this will be a disappointment because the characters might have changed along with their professional roles but it’s the same old story with little variation from most of Hills other books. Frankly I think this is a lazy effort and perhaps given it’s a few hours shorter perhaps it was pumped out to meet contractual deadlines. The characters weren’t fleshed out in anyway and the storyline is pushed so that the overall affect is predictable and boring. The only good thing about this book is the narration by Craden . She is fabulous as always.
