About this listen
As the battle against the invading aliens intensifies, a group of bad boy bikers and mercenaries will stand and fight for humanity's survival....
Squad Three berserker Griff lived through hell, long before the alien invasion. Once, he'd been a dedicated cop, but then in a gut-wrenching betrayal, he ended up behind bars in a supermax prison. After the aliens invaded, he managed to escape and join the soldiers fighting back...and came face-to-face with his best friend's little sister - the bold, vibrant, off-limits woman he's always wanted. Now, the beautiful, tattooed Indy is his squad's comms officer...and she hates his guts.
Indy Bennett lost her parents and brother in the alien attack, and every day, she vows to suck the marrow out of life. She's also doing her bit in the fight as Squad Three's comms officer, even if it means seeing the man who broke her young heart. Griff was once her brother's best friend, a boy she adored, but now, she knows she needs to steer clear of the hard-edged man who still draws her like a moth to a flame.
Griff vows to claim Indy as his. The only problem is, Indy is having none of it. As their fiery attraction explodes, they find themselves embroiled in the hunt for the aliens' unexplained octagon weapon and a mysterious survivor town where all is not what it seems.
Both Griff and Indy will have to learn to let go of the hurts of the past if they have any chance of not just surviving, but having a future.

this is the least of my faves
the story is great and gets us one step closer to the aliens final reveal.
loved that Indy went in undercover, but the decisions she makes re: dialogue frustrated me.
it was a love story from the get go as they have had a thing for each other for years.
but the extent of the barrier between them is pretty devastating and Anna just writes it and the characters responses as a mild interaction...I think it needed more intensity. hence less of a score.
these bloody aliens are relentless!
but oh my, Ms Hackett is slowly unfurling selina and I'm so excited by that.
she's getting tougher and oh so awesome!
I still can't figure out the end game..this thing the raptors have..hmmmm
I hope she gives the next two the depth she has built their characters to be.

Excellent
Griff Book 17 of Hell Squad is about Squad Three berserker Griff lived through hell long before the alien invasion. Once, he'd been a dedicated cop, but then in a gut-wrenching betrayal, he ended up behind bars in a supermax prison and Indy Bennett who lost her parents and brother in the alien attack, and every day, she vows to suck the marrow out of life. She's also doing her bit in the fight, as Squad Three's comms officer, even if it means seeing the man who broke her young heart. Griff was once her brother's best friend, a boy she adored, but now she knows she needs to steer clear of the hard-edged man who still draws her like a moth to a flame. There just one problem for the two they are so attracted to each other they can't stay away and Griff decides he's had enough of Indy treating him like he doesn't exist, what he didn't realise was that Indy was in love with him and he broke her heart and now he is in for the fight of his life to make her his. Yet another story full of aliens, humans, laugh out loud humour and scorching hot romance which I highly recommend.
