Before there was dragons, there was men in uniforms.
And boy oh boy can Yarros do a good man, and that uniform 🤌
okay, so not much uniform in this one, but it got my heart rate up a few times. The climax to the slow burn had me fanning my face and giggling🥵. The love I have for this town, I could have listened to it forever, I will be buying a paper trophie of this book for my shelf.
The plot twist at the end had me out of my seat cheering for the good guys. The family drama had my sobbing 😭, you always need a box of extra soft tissues when listening to one of Yarros romance books, I'm on a mission to listen to them all. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

The narrators sounded great, and you knew the difference between each character. I enjoyed that it held my interest and the twists were not what I expected!

Such a beautiful story
Did this book have me in tears by the halfway mark! Yep! Sure did! And I felt like there was going to be a lot more coming but only a few extra tears slipped out for the rest of the book!
The spice was quite slow but that being said- this book didn’t NEED the spice. It was emotionally charged and captivating almost instantly.
There was several twists and turns I legit didn’t see coming but made it so worth it!!
Definitely a good read!
