About this listen
At a glance, the dwarves and gnomes of the Horkensaft Kingdom are two peoples who are worlds apart. The former are seen as hardcore traditionalists hell-bent on maintaining the status quo, while the latter only look ever forward and upward as they grasp at the future with both hands. And yet, these two seemingly opposing cultures serve as a counter-balance to each other, creating a civilization that draws upon the wisdom of the past to face new challenges. Whether that is actually the case or mere propaganda will soon to be put to the test, as they are about to receive a visit from the Hero of Chaos. The enigmatic herald of change has already fostered a well-deserved reputation for setting things in motion by their presence, and only time will tell if the Kingdom of the stout-folk will survive the impending transition.
Though, once again, Boxxy doesn't actually care what ripples it causes. It isn't there to upset society or challenge the stagnant culture of all-work-no-play. Its goal is to track down an errant treasure that escaped its grasp while it was out of commission, and maybe secure some new pieces for its ever-growing collection along the way. Before it has a chance to, however, it must first deal with a significant issue that threatens to undo much of its work since its arrival in Azurvale. It is a challenge unlike any it has faced, and not one that it can hope to solve easily through force and violence. The limits of Boxxy's patience and self-control are about to be tested, as it looks desperately for a way...to leave the house.

For the author
Good story line just like the rest of the books……however your sound effects while good and well done are a little to loud I found myself rewinding often trying to figure out what was said …also the epilogue had this high pitch ringing for about 20 mins which was painful (physically)to listen to maybe it’s just my ears but let’s try avoid that in the next one ……Thanks for your hard work keep the books coming

Amazing
Amazing!! truly amazing, it's only fault is that I want more and need more. the voice acting as always is over the top. As for the background music and sound effects, I love it, I love it and hate it because it makes me wish that all audiobooks had them.

a whole book about one dungeon
unfortunately for this book in the series it almost seems to be a filler episode in your favourite TV show. well I'm sure they needed to expanding universe a little bit and provide growth the characters the fact the entire book almost the same length as others in the series is encapsulated in one dungeon is a bit of a letdown. compare with that managed to do with similar size books in this series. I'm glad to see the author is self aware of what the main character is turning into my assumption will be that there will be another knocked off their high horse moment like the was early in the series on the status reset, it definitely feels like there is not much of a risk with the main character as much as there was in the first couple of books in the series. you genuinely thought earlier on at the main character had risk and reward but it's getting to the stage were insert enemy number 55 we'll get defeated no ifs no buts or maybes.
on the positive side of this review very glad that they decided to get away from the city and back to adventuring but please be prepared for 90% of this book do only include a single dungeon which everyone knows the results of the only surprise being reward. I can't even begin to emphasise with how power creep can work in the style of franchise. I always like to think what was done in this book and look back on the entire story arc. each book has left a fairly decent impact on what has been achieved by boxy
when you look back at the conclusion of this box one of his demons had a rank up and they completed a dungeon that's it that's what the author decided to write about it and this audiobook is encapsulated. it is a bit of a shame and I may have to higher expectations as this series is getting the love it deserves.
I mean this honest Lee when you think back on completing this book could you skip this book in its entirety and then next book make sense unfortunately outside a champions death, this book could be skipped in the series and would have no impact on the overarching story. maybe that was the goal in its entirety but for me as a readout that's lazy and not something that's to be enjoyed. this is a filler episode on what is a rich and interesting world I'm excited to see what the next book in the series will become good in conclusion this book is a large letdown.
