A very realistic read.
Towards the end of the book I had to pause to do some research to check that the book was actually a work of fiction. Great story.

Atmospheric Australian whodunnit
An intriguing read that held my interest until the last word, with wonderfully flawed characters and a great sense of place.

Gone is a must read!
Gone shines in its depiction of the Australian landscape. Rarely do I ever read a crime/mystery novel where I can't guess where the story is going, but 'Gone' definitely had me at the edge of my seat the whole entire book. The way Thomson captures the intricacies of the family dynamics is top notch. The novel’s strength lies in its unflinching portrayal of the mother/daughter dynamic at the core of the stoy.
You will not see this ending coming. Once you read the last page, you will want to start back over again, and pick up clues y0u may have missed the first time around!

Dreadful depressing and doesn't improve
I perservered until mid way and I just couldn't take it anymore.
I feel sorry for the Narrator who did a good job of this sad and mournful tale.
I just need to work out how to return for a refund now...
