Well deconstructed
Confirms why I gave up trying to be a Christian 40 years ago. Never made sense or felt real to me and this book confirms what I struggled with then. God needs anger management counselling.

absolutely brilliant
highly recommended. particularly good for those dissatisfied with the standard christian answers for the problem of suffering and some of the very troubling parts of the old testament. Dr Ehrman is a masterful teacher. provocative, thoughtful and straightforward. I benefited greatly from this book.

Brilliant book, ghastly narrator
I love Bart's work, but this narrator made me lose the will to go on.
