About this listen
‘A wonderful, gritty, explosively violent, and beautifully realised debut’
DAILY MAIL
‘GODKILLER will have you in its grasp from the first pages’
Samantha Shannon, bestselling author of PRIORY OF THE ORANGE TREE
You are not welcome here, godkiller
Kissen’s family were killed by zealots of a fire god. Now, she makes a living killing gods, and enjoys it. That is until she finds a god she cannot kill: Skedi, a god of white lies, has somehow bound himself to a young noble, and they are both on the run from unknown assassins.
Joined by a disillusioned knight on a secret quest, they must travel to the ruined city of Blenraden, where the last of the wild gods reside, to each beg a favour.
Pursued by demons, and in the midst of burgeoning civil war, they will all face a reckoning – something is rotting at the heart of their world, and only they can be the ones to stop it.

Easy read
Loved it overall.
Quick paced storyline that jumps straight into action and adventure as you meet each character all with their own troubles n secrets they must reveal and overcome. I can't wait to read the 2nd book.

Characters galore
This story grabbed my heart and ran away with it, I was left running after it all the way to the end of this book. A wonderful adventure with gritty characters. Would recommend.

It passed the time
As an avid reader and listener, the story and characters where passable - the world building also quite creative.
Worth the venture - just don’t expecting it to find its way into your top reads

great story and characters
I really enjoyed this book, but really didn't vibe with the breathy and clipped tone of the narrator... so much so that I had to reread multiple chapters as I kept getting put off by it. The book itself though was great! Loved how smoothly it flowed from one character to another, and built the story up for it to all come together. Wish there was a little more in the end on Inara, but I am assuming that wish will be filled in book 2

Great Characters!
The world building and magic system were intriguing. I loved the characters and their progression throughout the book. This was one of those books I couldn’t stop listening to.

Fast paced and engaging
An interesting story within an interesting world. I've read a lot of fantasy, and this book had a couple of tropes that I enjoy (a motley crew on a journey, enemies to lovers, a character with an important mysterious secret) but the setting was fresh and original.
