Since the moment I was ripped from my mother's womb, I've been an outcast among my own kind. I ran away from their lands in the Highlands of Scotland when I was 11 years old, and I've never looked back. I don't need a clan. I've got my own family of highly skilled thieves who mean more to me than any Sidhe ever could.
Unfortunately for me, the playboy heir to the Moncrieffe Clan has something I desperately need. To get it back, I'm going to have to plunge myself back into that world, no matter what the consequences may be. I suppose it's just as well I have a sense of humor. I think I'm going to need it.

Really enjoyed this
I originally passed on this when I saw bad reviews, but decided to give it a go when I saw positive ones. Really glad I listened. A few laughs, some magic, good narration. I’m straight onto book two.

Wonderful Voice
The narrator did a fantastic job. I think this is the best audiobook I have listened to. A wonderful, magical and humorous story. The characters are fantastic and the fact that events play it in modern day was very fun.

magic and dad jokes
Loved this ❤ Magic, fae creatures, romance and really bad jokes! Seriously, the humour contrasted beautifully with the darker aspects of betrayal and abandonment with the storyline. Looking forward to beginning the next book.

Ignore the negative reviews
I am really glad I ignored the many negative reviews this book had, I really enjoyed this one, particularly because despite my age I loved all the lame jokes as it fitted with my sense of humour perfectly. Someone complained about the accent saying they found the narrator difficult to understand, for me as an Australian with English relations, the accents used were quite clear and easy to follow, they also reflected the setting and characters background so were very appropriate, only adding to the enjoyment of the story. I enjoyed this book so much I have already bought the next one and eagerly await finishing this review so I can get listening. 🐨

Really good, funny
I didn't think it would be this good but i am pleasantly surprised, it's fast paced, witty and wow i love Integrity's bad jokes lol. She is feisty and very crafty being a thief and all. The narrative is excellent, Saskia Maarleveld is awesome, she brings the characters too life. Thank you x

A MUST READ
I have just finished this series and I wished it hadn't finished so soon. I'm quiet sure some people will think that I'm mad as I go about my day laughing and smiling out loud when I'm the only one there. These books brought me great joy.

Absolutely brilliant!
This is the first serie I've read from this author and it blew me away! Such a clever, interesting and overall happy story! I absolutely loved our female lead. She's such a strong character.
