About this listen

Grandfather looks around at all the faces glowing in the dim light of the ambers from the fire and starts his tale....

"It was long ago, and we, The People, lived far from here in a place called The Kingdom. We lived among and worked with Giants!"

Steven shakes his head no and buries his face in his hands. "Not the Giant story!" All the children are cuddled up close to their parents and very frightened, all except Steven, a non-believer in these tales of Giants. "Someday," he says to himself, "I will go to the very edge of the forest and prove that there are no such things as giants!"

Steven has been on this quest for three days now. "Giants indeed!" He says out loud as he trots through the dark and dense woods his people have called home for so many generations. "When I get to the edge of the forest to see for myself and find no giants, I will return to the village and tell all how I proved those old tales false. Then they will accept me as a great hunter and explorer!"
