Brilliant 5 Stars
An extremely in-depth look at a woman who for her time period was bold, brave and at times very ruthless. Yet deep down loved like no other. She herself states it perfectly. “I love and only love the fairer sex” Well done Anne for your bravery and tenacity.

Cracking story but hard to like the characters
Listened right to the end and was left a bit empty overall. The main problem for me was the main protagonist being such an unpleasant and extremely arrogant character, trailblazer or not. The work also suffers from the significant changes in social mores which have completely changed the landscape between then and now. I was relieved to have it finished.
