About this listen

Noa was trampled and nearly killed by hundreds of horny female fans at a concert of a band she didn't even like, but Alden, the bad boy lead singer of the band, saved her from the trampling tramps. Alden is used to getting what he wants, especially women, but Noa can't stand the cocky, pelvic-thrusting rock star.

Noa reluctantly becomes friends with the rocker, under one condition: He promises not to try to have sex with her. But he didn't promise that he wouldn't do other things. Alden's musically talented fingers are capable of playing more than just a guitar....

Reluctantly Noa goes on a fundraising music tour with Alden's band, Friction. She soon begins to realize there is more to the rocker than sex, music, and his arrogance. But by spending time with one of the biggest superstars in the world, Noa finds herself in the spotlight, illuminating secrets she thought were hidden forever.

Friction ... a Slow Burn to Hot

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Really enjoyed the friction, or tension, between the lead characters. This friction is the story and I felt the author did a nice job keeping me entertained with the mental emotional and physical exchanges between the two.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I almost threw in the towel after two chapters. I felt the female narrator started out over-the-top aggressive and slightly out of sync with the female character. Just as I was getting ready to ditch it, her performance took an upswing and I was able to connect. Female narrator's portrayal of the male lead wasn't as strong as her female lead but nonetheless tolerable. Loved the male narrator - very easy to listen to and was a perfect match for the male lead. Keen to see what other performances he's done.

Any additional comments?

Overall, I enjoyed this audio title. If you're looking for a story with depth of plot, move on, but if you like people watching at pace, it's definitely worth your time and credit.

Didn't enjoy

I was just 2 chapters in when I was ready to quit this audio book but then thought wait and see if it gets any better. It didn't Noa was so annoying she complained about everything in a very bitchy way and was not nice at all i have no idea why Alden was attracted to her. From time to time the bartering between them was ok and I got why she was like that ( because of her past) she had herself on as a great person then treated Alden like crap.
Also I thought we would have a male and female narrator there was 2 male speaking chapters toward the end of the story
I was so disappointed I love a good rock romance but this one wasn't for me sorry
I read a lot of good reviews so maybe judge for your self
