He's written (with co-author Usha Lee McFarling) a new five-part series, Altered Oceans, on the long-term health of the seas. The series received the George Polk Award for journalism.

Then, Gabriel Byrne, whose new film is Jindabyne. He's best known for his roles in the films The Usual Suspects, Miller's Crossing, and Into the West. He was also the executive producer of the film In the Name of the Father and associate producer of Into the West. He began his acting career in his late 20s. Before that, he was an archeologist, schoolteacher, and short-order cook.
