Surrounded by a group of devoted four-footed and two-winged family members, Zak and Killian have built what should have been a dream life in their countryside farmhouse. But a cruel twist of fate and the re-emergence of old demons has frayed the edges of the men’s seven-year relationship until just one wrong move could end up severing their bond for good.
Seemingly content to walk on eggshells around one another, things come to a head when ER nurse Zak brings his work home with him...literally.
After being forced to leave their posh Southern California lives, homeless stepbrothers Liam and Noah are slowly losing themselves to the streets they can’t seem to escape. When 21-year-old Liam is beaten up while protecting his younger “brother”, the pair find themselves being welcomed into a home where being a stray is considered a good thing. But Liam and 19-year-old Noah have learned the hard way that nothing is given for free and there’s no such thing as the kindness of strangers. Survival means only counting on and trusting in each other.
Will Zak and Killian’s offer of a no-strings-attached place to heal end up being more than any of the four men bargained for? Especially when feelings between Liam and Noah begin to crawl to the surface and the truth of what Zak and Killian’s relationship has turned into becomes harder to deny?
And what happens when lines begin to blur and needs start to change? Will Zak, Killian, Liam, and Noah end up going their separate ways?
Or will they learn that love doesn’t always come in twos?

Four Ever - it’s worked.
Beautifully written great storyline- this audiobook captured everything I adore.
Great book Sloane Kennedy.
Michael Pauley- it’s 100% perfect again.

Beautiful
Such a beautiful story, that is soft and gentle as the slow burn develops.
Each of the 4 men are are facing their own struggles: ex-cop Killian and ER nurse Zak had their world and once strong relationship turned upside down following a tragic incident at Killian’s work. While Killan try’s to deal with the PTSD, this causes immense strain on their relationship with each blaming themselves for things getting more distant.
Liam always protected his younger step-brother and would do anything to keep him safe. Unbeknownst to each other, they each have also hid their feelings for each other.
Following a close-call abuse incident at home, the boys find themselves on the streets. Zak is known to take in stray animals with his big heart, but his caring side sees Killian & Zak taking in both the boys temporarily to give them a safe place to stay. This story develops gently as they support one another to tackle their problems, and all support Noah who’s suffering the most. A beautiful, gentle slow-burn development, with so much respect, care and trust - even when it comes to bedroom scenes.
Highly recommend.

A great story!
so emotionally charged! I've cried happy and sad tears, 4 damaged men who find each other when they need it the most and build an unbreakable bond.

Loads of angst and passion in this MMMM romance!
Liam has always protected Noah who is an elect mute, but the two teens haven’t faired well living on the streets. Ex-cop Killian and his long-term partner / ER nurse, Zak, are having serious relationship issues. Zak often brings home injured animals but this time he’s brought home the two very unwell homeless teens. As the four men learn to trust and support each other, their past traumas come to the fore and demand to be dealt with. This is a huge emotional rollercoaster with each hurt, damaged man needing the other’s help. The chemistry between the two couples is fantastic and the gradual melding of the two couples is really well done. It’s easy to judge the men for not being more communicative at times, but they are each unravelling years of hurt and gender norms. Michael Dean is, of course, the perfect choice to narrate the audio - great passion and emotional depth!
