About this listen
Aston Walker
One night changed everything for me... I walked into that party surrounded by friends and walked out with an enemy. It's been two years and I still have no idea why he hates me. Now, we're forced to work together, and I'm going to enjoy getting under his skin.
Knox Finnegan
I never knew someone could annoy me as much as he does. He's starting to break down my carefully built walls, when I really need to keep him as far away as possible. He's a temptation I can't afford, a desire I've tried to bury.
But feelings can't hide forever...
*Forsaken Desires is the second book in The Deepest Desires interconnected series. It's an MM enemies to lovers romance.

One of the best enemies-to-lovers I’ve read!
I found FORSAKEN DESIRES immensely enjoyable, especially as it clicked a number of boxes for me: new adult, college setting, enemies-to-lovers trope, and very hot and plentiful sex! For an erotic romance like this to work, though, the writer has to create strong, believable characters, and Ashley James does exactly that here. And the gradual shifting of the dynamics in the relationship between Knox and Aston are believably rendered, and the book reaches a well earned HEA. A small trigger warning: there are some episodes of very ugly homophobic slurs and anti-gay violence, but these are what accounts for one of the MC’s difficulties in communicating and being intimate. (And those disturbing incidents aren’t dealt upon at great length.) my only nit to pick was a certain repetitiveness to the sex scenes; I’d like for the MMC to have been a bit more adventurous and kinky. Overall, though, this was a very satisfying, sexy, and emotionally satisfying read…and the audiobook was well performed by the actors!

Story of Knox and Aston
Wow what a book! I love everything Ashley writes but I think this one is up there as being one of my favs. Narration was phenomenal!
This is an mm college romance, featuring Aston Walker and Knox Finnegan and is the second book in this series.
Aston and Knox have known each other since high school. Knox was a year above Aston at school but they often went to the same parties. One of those parties see them share a kiss but it starts the animosity Knox has for Aston.
When they eventually are in the same college, something happens to put them in the path of each other again.
The journey they take to their HEA was hard to read, but I am so happy they finally got there. You get to see more of the secondary characters in this book, and I have to say I loved Knox’s friend Katie, she was the best.
There is some sensitive topics in this book, make sure you check the author’s trigger warnings.
Tropes include:
MM college romance
SUPER SPICY
Enemies to lovers
Forced proximity
Library shenanigans
Heavy Self Denial
Good Denial 😉
Obsessive
HEA

Plenty of smut in this MM romance
Super hot enemies to lovers.
Could have done without the misogyny, lots of mean things about the women in this book. Just because they're gay doesn't mean that they/the writing has to be mean about female characters.
Aside from that, a good, sexy read!
