About this listen
The body of Christ is functioned by individuals who participate in carrying out acts of service to facilitate and support the body of the Church, in a combined effort, for the edification of the people of God. But many times, they are counted as the faithful few, all the while serving amidst those who are faithful to the pews.
The Lord said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Luke 10:2 NIV
It is with steadfast love and patience that the Lord gathers the abundance of his people. When the season has blossomed, is fruitful, and ripe, those whom he has chosen, are called out by the Master’s voice to step out of “their pews” and into the assignment(s) he has designed them for, in service. As they plant seeds, water, and contribute to the development of the people of God, according to his plan, it is the Lord who brings the increase, determining the course, process, duration, and fullness of each individual.
From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love.” Ephesians 4:15-16 AMP
