Hmmm

Excellent narration by Sienna Frances!

Based on the book’s synopsis the theme was not new so I didn’t expect much going in. However, as the story unfolded the characters seemed to grow on me. The stock characters were amusing, the sense of family and community filled the gaps in the story that wasn’t about the MCs romance. What surprised me was my sudden emotional reaction a quarter in the book. Everything up to a certain point in the book was emotionally benign until I found myself crying. It was such an unexpected physical reaction to the previously thought mild storyline which lead me to conclude that the emotional grip of the story latched on deeper than expected. Compliments to the writer for their expertise in hijacking emotions covertly.
