Emotional and Informative
I’ve been following Danielle since googling grain free recipes 6 years ago when a 2 year struggle from glandular fever and how to get healthy again, led me to her. It’s astounding that not one medical professional suggested food might help me. “You’re a full time working mother, of course you’re going to feel like this” was the repeated sentiment.
I feel so much better when I consistently eat Danielle’s recipes.
I’ve never quite felt 100% though. And now hearing Danielle’s full story in Food Saved Me, and the struggles she had at the beginning with transitioning to this way of eating, and the fact that other factors like sleep and stress are likely equal part culprits definitely helps alleviate the feelings of failure I constantly face.
It’s so enlightening hearing how Ryan Walker’s contributions and assistance to Danielle’s health journey was a huge factor in helping Danielle.
It was so lovely hearing Danielle’s familiar voice describing her journey in this Audible version. Her voice cracking in some emotional and very personal moments definitely led to some tears being shed.

amazingly raw and so honest
Thankyou danielle and Ryan for telling your story so openly and honestly. my 21 year old daughter has lupus and I struggle with my own health issues and your story has given me the motivation to take back our health again. I already have your cookbooks bit will use them from now on. thankyou
