About this listen
Is it possible for a news anchor to become a professional athlete? Can a disheartened architect build a new career as a luxury car designer? They can, and they have, says Martha Beck, whose advice is sought each month by over two million readers in O: The Oprah Magazine. Now, on Follow Your North Star, she teaches you how to recognize the cues from within that will tell you whether your job, relationship, and environment (even your daily schedule), are leading you in the right direction. "Just as a compass needle always turns towards true north, you already know how to find the right life," she says. Join Beck to learn more about:
- How to recognize when sabotaging your own success is really an expression of your inner wisdom
- Too many unavoidable tasks bogging you down? Reinvent your daily routine to maximize your "life momentum"
- How to use your own "internal navigation system" to chart a course toward freedom and fulfillment
- Eagle vision/mouse vision: why both perspectives are crucial to clarify your dreams, and more
With visualizations, meditations, and relevant insights, Martha Beck guides you step-by-step through the process of changing the life you have now into one that will move you to the "true north" you are meant to travel.

Powerful, Beautiful, Healing, Expansive
I love this book. Martha perfects her pace and doesn't rush. Her tone is so calming and centering. This makes a big difference. I happen to be in a stage of where this book really touched home. The audio exercises throughout are simple so that the attention can be on the practice & framework so that they're likely to be remembered and easily done in babysteps or integrated in the day to day. That said, I know I'm going to listen to this book over and over. I like that it includes a more expansive idea of what a north star is and it's expressed with such relaxed clarity. It's not all about labels and linear processes. There's space for the soul, the desert and the stars here. Thank you Martha. What a beautiful piece to give to the world.
