About this listen
Long-married couple Junior and Henrietta live a quiet, solitary life on their farm, where they work at the local feed mill and raise chickens. Their lives are simple, straightforward, uncomplicated.
Until everything you think you know collapses.
Until the day a stranger arrives at their door with alarming news: Junior has been chosen to take an extraordinary journey, a journey across both time and distance, while Hen remains at home. Junior will be gone for years. But Hen won't be left alone.
Who can you trust if you can't even trust yourself?
As the time for his departure draws nearer, Junior finds himself questioning everything about his life - even whether it's really his life at all.
Eerily entrancing, Foe churns with unease and suspense from the first words to its shocking finale. Perfect for fans of Humans, Westworld and Black Mirror, Foe is a book you will never forget.©2018 Iain Reid (P)2018 Simon & Schuster Audio

Psychological tapestry between 2 character's makes for a gritty piece.
The concept drives the narrative here and introduces fundamental questions and relatable conundrums that all endowed couples deal with. Amidst the backdrop of future society coupled with an ongoing existential threat this novel explores the human psyche in depth and challenges the audience to question how well we know each other and ourselves.

Boring, with a terrible ending
As I listened to this book I was holding out hope that the end was going to have some big climatic conclusion. Instead it’s boring and by the time your half way through the book you already know what the twist is. The characters are boring and so surface level. I disliked them all. Would not recommend.
