About this listen
A socially anxious college student discovers she has superpowers—and they need babysitting—in the first book of an original superhero series.
Power Day occurs every year on September 15th. Across the world, formerly regular people awaken with superhuman abilities—and labels to go with them. They become the next generation of Heroes...and Villains.
September 15th is also Emily Wright’s first day on campus. While everyone else is out celebrating the start of their college career, Emily’s hiding in her dorm room. She wonders if it’s possible to earn a degree while completely avoiding eye contact with anyone.
All she wants is to learn a little and maybe get over her anxiety. Instead, she’s granted a superpower and categorized as villainous. So, Emily panics—and inadvertently conjures up a pint-size supervillain sidekick.
Emily has no intention of doing anything—evil or otherwise—with her powers. And if she has to babysit an increasing number of “little sisters” in order to stay under the radar, so be it.
But can Emily gain control of her life, or will she drown in a sea of supervillainy and cuddles?

loved it
well worth it trust me.
basically super hero who summons cute sisters with wacky attitudes and cool powers in a world similar to my hero academia or the boys.
corporate sponsors are a thing, be a hero for money if you win the powers lottery.
secret bad guys, op mc but in a good way because shes very shy and underestimates herself.
every character has a story and i loved all these from the introverted shy mc to the socialist bear. each is interesting and unique.
the squabbling of the mcs party feels real and while freqent did not feel overdone.
i think youll like it.

Sugar sweet and full of hugs
If you prefer your litrpgs on the less complicated side, and you like stories about found family, you're probably the exact person this book is for.
There's a fairly interesting world, plot and system here, but ultimately Ravensdagger's main strength is their ability to fill a world with loveable weirdoes- the character interactions, particularly between Emily and all of her sisters, are the main attraction here.
Emily is an interesting protagonist, an anxious college student who spends most of the book trying to refuse the call to adventure, failing only because she's unfortunately actually pretty good at said adventure.
Narration is very solid, with a fairly well differentiated main cast.

Fun, funny and excellently written
Sweet, funny and innocent but not boring,
Characters are really brought to life, obviously real life experience with kids and emotions
Love the story concept and the total admiration that her minion/sister have for the boss
Does not start off really good and die off later in the book but keeps you engaged to the end
It's a refreshing feel good book
