Editorial reviews

Flash mobs are a distinctly 21st-century phenomenon, seeing as the use of modern technology is employed to gather a large group in a public place and perform a seemingly spontaneous act. Though he didn't coin the term flash mob Bill Wasik invented the concept in 2003 as a social experiment, an act of performance art, and a harmless form of civil disobedience. Luca James Lee illuminates this iMind title with an enlightening demeanor that delves into the story behind the flash mob, but nevertheless employs lightness of touch that fits with the tone of this curious cultural sensation.
