It’s New Year’s in Sinful, and the competition for the New Year’s Queen is heating up as the warring churches go head-to-head. Great stories & great narrator. Books that can make you laugh out loud. I want to grow up to be Gertie.

I wish I had listened to these books slower
Waiting for Ms DeLeon to write more of these is killing me. Gertie and Ida Belle are the tits! Their antics are both entertaining and intelligent. Fortune as the protagonist and narrator is almost secondary and so is her romance with the increasingly patient (or resigned) Deputy LeBlanc. The surprise at the end of this book has me eagerly awaiting the next adventures. I have a feeling we’re going international! The narration is sublime as always. I couldn’t imagine anyone else, and I have returned books for narration alone.
