Publisher's Summary
Fourteen years have passed since the virus ripped through the global population, crushing the modern world and leaving the cities crawling with the infected.
The immune who survived the violence of the collapse fled to remote havens like Balmorhea, a tiny town in the desert of Far West Texas. There, a few hundred Normals made a go of it, building walls, farming the dry dirt, and learning to thrive together.
With them, Zed and Murphy, survivors of the infection are different but still human. Distrusted and despised because of what they are, they're still the first to fight when the hordes maraud out of the wastes.
Now, a new menace is lurking beyond the horizon, threatening to destroy everything they've built. Will they survive the savage violence sweeping across the desert, or will they be consumed by the firestorm?

So satisfying!
Bobbi Adair revives the characters I loved from the first 9 books. The story is another roller coaster of action following the anti-hero antics of Nullspot. Expertly narrated this audio book is a must listen for fans of the Slow Burn series.

Anther good book in series..
Less action yet more introspective story. Z can get so frustrating, stubborn and childish, yet this is good as this sucks you in and you want shake the guy…well done

The perfect sequel
I was hesitant about reading this at all because I was so happy with the way the original series had ended. I'm so glad I did. This book was the best story of the entire series. If you thought Zed had gotten into some tough situations in the previous nine books … you have no idea what awaits in this one. I felt utter despair on multiple occasions, begging for some deus ex machina that never came. Brilliant writing from Bobby Adair. And what an ending. So glad I decided to read this series and this sequel in particular.

The best one yet.
I thought this was going to be No10 an authers regurgitation money spin for fans but again... I was wrong. Despite being a long time since I did 1 to 9... It had me back in familiar ground quickly. If you are hesitant DONT BE. BEST ONE YET.
The humor and banter between our favorit duo is on point in this book. Parts of it I found frustrating with me thinking one thing about our main charicter and getting sick of his angry ass bullshit but... I was wrong in the end... and I can't say more without spoiling shit. So buckle up, and enjoy.

parhos and humour in a well read story
Narrator was excellent again. I knew which character was speaking just by the narrator's voices that he used for each character.
The story was a little slow to start after the excitement of books 1-9 but quickly became captivating.
