Publisher's Summary
The cost of winning might be more than they’re able to bear….
Raven
All I wanted was a simple, quiet life.
Then I met him.
Jonah Slade is my polar opposite. I fly under the radar; he’s a celebrity. I’m a good girl mechanic; he’s the UFLs bad boy. We make no sense together.
And none of that matters when I’m in his arms.
Our differences aren’t the problem, though. We could overcome those. But fate (and my evil father) seems to have other plans for us….
Jonah
I never thought my destiny would come to me wearing overalls and a pair of Chucks. But she did.
The timing couldn’t be worse. I’m weeks away from a title fight.
And she’s all I can see.
I know that circumstances are conspiring against us. Protecting Raven might cost me everything. But that’s a chance I’m willing to take. I’ll do anything for the woman I love.
Because I’ve never lost a fight. And I’m not about start now….
Fighting for Flight, book 1 in the Fighting series, is an emotional, angsty, contemporary, steamy sports romance with a guaranteed happily ever after. Download today and get ready to fall for Raven and Jonah.

You have family
Would you listen to Fighting for Flight again? Why?
Possibly
I would say this was an introduction to better books in the series don't get me wrong I love the relationship that comes from Jonah and Raven kinda like if Cinderella was guarded by lions and the Prince had tatts knew how to throw a punch and had friends that look weirdly like gang members without guns and but maybe a knife.
enjoy the mental visual <3
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
“The best thing that ever happened to me shows up in coveralls and a pair of Chucks when I least expect it. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her.”

the saving grace for me, was the age of the characters
This is a new author for me and I was pretty excited to see so many audible titles. I just love series books.
This style of writing is pretty descriptive
Especially with the romantic/steam paragraphs. For me it was ok when they first met but then it got almost repetitive, not necessarily with words but the explaining of feelings and emotions are described quite a lot.
Then the trope I didn't know was exposed...the V card. Just cannot take to it at all, especially with the way the writing style is put together and they haven't even got hot and sexy yet!. They're just enamoured with sexual attraction.
The only saving grace, for me, is that it's clearly written for young people.
So I tolerated the somemewhat lusty,
Light hearted approach to a somewhat, In my opinion, serious developments.
I'm also a sassy, kickass, strong, opinionated type of h, fan.
This h was kinda shy, mute at the worst of times, way too timid and cries a lot!
Again, for me, this is saved by her age.
The H started out as cool, sultry, mysterious and detached, but a young little blackbird turns him from jelly in one instance to flip switching rage. Also there's not a lot of MMA action.
It seemed there was no serious thought process in the chaos. Just a lot of young over emotional moods. And some written indicative points werent really mentioned.
The end trauma had the usual young banter and the old saying " bring a knife to a gun fight" sums it up.
It was frustrating. However this is an older woman reviewing...so if you love lots of innuendo, lots of steamy time, heaps of romantic description, and an on the lighter side plotline on some of what could be intense topics. Then this is for you. The writing is great for this age bracket and trope.
So sadly to say, I'm too old for this series
I want to try book 2 but I think I need more depth...and in here there isn't enough.
Love Erin Mallon and a Ryan West, both are my favourites
