About this listen
When Alice Love surfaces from a beautiful dream to find she's been injured in a gym, she knows that something is very wrong – she hates exercise. Alice's first concern is her baby – she's pregnant with her first child, and she's desperate to see her husband, Nick, whom she knows will be worried about her. But Alice isn't pregnant. And Nick isn't worried. Alice is the mother of three children and her hostile husband is in the process of divorcing her. Alice has lost ten years of her life.
In the days that follow, small bubbles of the past rise to the surface, and Alice is forced to confront uncomfortable truths. It turns out forgetting might be the most memorable thing that's ever happened to her.

Enjoyed the story
Loved the story, not overly keen on narration, a bit too squeaky and irritating.
Would definitely read more of her books though.

Kept me occupied
Decent enough. The narrators voice can get a little annoying at times but it's just a typical beach holiday read.

Not a bad way to pass a few hours
Where does What Alice Forgot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I quite enjoyed this book. It's lighthearted and easy listening. The story line is fairly believable and I became engrossed in some of the characters. It's quite different to Liane's other books.
I did think it finished rather abruptly and would have liked a bit more information about the reason for Alice's decision on how to spend the rest of her life.

Modern Australian family life from a busy mums poi
So refreshing to hear an Australian accent! Aussie setting and storyline. A really welltold realistic story about middle suburban motherhood marriage and family relationships! With a good dash of Aussie humor thrown in. A great listen

Captivated
Loved the story. The infertility struggle was heartbreaking. So spot on regarding the social hierarchy of school mothers in Australia. I have 5 children and I have met those kind of women! I was disappointed though that she reunited with Nick. I found him to be condescending and didn't take Alice seriously. A good account of what complacency and ego can do to a marriage. Gina was a bit tragic. She has an in appreciative husband and then died, just as she was improving her life. A great read in all.
