About this listen

Three sisters, one birthday, one little problem...

The three Kettle sisters have had a mortifying mishap. Their raucous, champagne-soaked birthday dinner has come to an abrupt end following a violent argument and an emergency dash to the hospital.

So who started it this time? Was it angry, hurt Cat, still recovering from the 'night of the spaghetti'? Was it Lyn, so serenely successful, at least on the outside? Or was it quirky, dreamy Gemma, the sister who can't keep a secret except for the most important one of all?

Critic Reviews

"I adored Three Wishes...fresh, very, very funny...also intelligent and unsentimental about family dynamics." (Marian Keyes)

Great Sydney Read

I love LM stories and three wishes did not fail me. Always loved the north shore / beaches references.

Loved it Eventually

Love this authors work and the narrator also. I just found I had to relisten to eralt chapter's a number of times to keep up with erratic stort line..was however still enjoyable and worth the perseverance. I felt the ending was a little flat and I still don't know why the fork enfed up in Gemma's belly ! I may have to backtrack again to find out.

Accents

I enjoyed listening to this book up until the narrator attempted a Manchester accent. Appalling.

Addictive

As with all this authors books I’ve listened to I can’t wait to get back to it.... also the narrator is fantastic and the combination of both makes listening a real pleasure.. Lou

couldn't finish it

I found the story to be rambling and irritating. I suppose the triplets are supposed to be a bit annoying so the reader presented them this way, but it just feels like your ears are being harassed with irritating voices! I loved Big Little Lies so thought I'd try another Moriarty, but I couldn't get through this one.

Story good. Narrator annoying

The story is interesting. Liane has a way of detailing character interactions that reveal history and depth.
The narrator sounded immature (perhaps intentionally) and her voice is squeaky. It felt like I was listening to an adult trying to sound bratty. Really detracted from the story

loved it

loved this book! It was easy and strangely comforting to read. The characters are so honest and flawed, I couldn't help but think it was almost like listening to my own family problems.
