Excellent
How do you put this book into a category? Is it a horror, supernatural, crime? MR Carey at his finest. It is a solid listen and I hope you enjoy it too.

Excellent. What can I say, he's done it again.
Great story and great characters. Truly despicable bad guys and tragic and sympathetic protagonists. Loved it. Highly recommended. 😎

best ending!!
Anyone who has read The Girl With All the Gifts knows that M.R Carey can write. This story is a complete departure from the end of the world and 10 year old zombies, centred around a junkie named Jess who wakes from a coma to discover she has killed a 10 year old boy in a fire. Her face and all her memories have been destroyed in that fire, and she only begins to piece it together with the help of the dead boys ghost...

Good listen with a couple of issues
Good story and very well read. Had a slightly disjointed ending that wasn't particularly satisfying

Couldn't get past the narrator.
I tried to give this a chance but I only lasted a few chapters. I just couldn't deal with the narrators voice.

some great aspects to the story but went too long and some of the plot turns didn't add to the overall story
