About this listen
Lana Novak hasn't played violin in more than 20 years - her musical life these days confined to being a devoted band mom to her clarinet whiz daughter, Robin. She didn't think she could get back into it after this long, but Melanie Feinberg - the outgoing, enthusiastic, and very cute butch orchestra director from Robin's school - has other ideas.
Snowed-in lesbian romance by Shira Glassman, narrated by Grace Keller Scotch.

Wholesome, queer, slice-of-life romance
This story was like a comforting, warm cup of tea and exactly what I wanted. It was easy to get through and not unnecessarily complicated. Fearless is soft, heart-warming and wholesome. The growing interest between both characters felt believable and I particularly appreciated the main character’s backstory which added weight behind every interaction. It definitely has some of the expected tropes and cliches of romances, but if that’s something that doesn’t bother you, then you’ll adore this story. Do check the sample before listening—the reading voice has an American twang to it that I personally struggle to resonate with. You might not have the same issue. I didn’t think the portrayal of teenagers was very accurate and the voice acting fed more into the cliche portrayed. I don’t necessarily recommend spending a credit on Fearless, but only because it is only an hour long. Again: this is such a sweet story and left me feeling positive about how queer romance can be portrayed productively in popular culture.
