Publisher's Summary

Graeme only wanted a pint.

He'd even have taken one of those fruity craft beers in a pinch, but it seemed Fate had other plans...which is strange, because as it turns out, Graeme is possibly the only being in the universe unaffected by the otherwise divine and tangible force of destiny. Immune to its machinations, he is Fateless.

So, when he inadvertently disrupts his best friends summoning into another world, the Gods offer him a choice. Fix the mistake, or sentence said friend and world he's destined to save to a particularly nasty end.

Reborn into a new world in the body of Minotaur, Graeme will have to survive frozen wastes, vicious slavers, and perilous dungeons. All whilst adapting to strange game-like powers, delivered and explained to him by an overly enthusiastic voice in his head.

It's not all bad news though. Sure he might be the only Scotsman he knows with horns, but this lack of Fate seems to come with some benefits. The ability to wreak havoc with the pre-ordained plans of the Gods might just give him the edge he needs.

Guess the pint will have to wait.

Phenomenal Narrator, Fascinating World, Decent Entertaining Story

I highly recommend this for anyone interested in an entertaining story, with a unique "System", enthralling world building, a flawed but very likeable MC, and a stellar performance by Neil Hellegars.
I have listened to hundreds of LitRPGs, and this is one of the few that has a genuinely interesting take on Leveling and Skills.

Confusing as hell and boring.

Honestly, this audiobook is saved by the voice actor and doing things Scottish. 7 hours in and our hero might be starting to get the hang of things from being weakest MC to being average but he's still stupid as hell or just hated by everyone in a 'destined' heavy world where you know your fate and their is no illusion of free will. I'll finish the book cause voice actor has done a great job of a Scottish voice, and it's rare to hear.
So only reasons to listen to this book you got time to listen for hours of a story that quiet Honestly has given me berserkers rage of a scott for being called weak and stupid all the time.
Two, you want to hear a Scottish accent voice tell a story. Three, if you came he cause of a Minotaur Mc is not human. You do get some enjoyment of the MC embracing the Minotaur role.
