Publisher's Summary

Gary Howell, a fourth generation descendant of Florida Crackers, a traveling salesman selling telecommunications gear around the southeast, a father of two, and - by and large - a happily married, ordinary guy.

Except that Gary has had a few extraordinary experiences happen to him, such as meeting his guardian angel, being rescued financially by a grandfather hooked on Coca-Cola, and the meeting of an evil spirit in a cemetery on a Halloween night, or did he?

Gary has also heard some interesting tales about other members of his family, so he decides to try and record some of them for posterity's sake. He interviews his great grandmother who has told him the story many times about how she survived the sinking of the Titanic, a distant uncle who may have witnessed the second coming, and, finally, a very rich uncle who maybe got that way thanks to time travel.

What Gary finally realizes by writing the stories, both of his adventures and those of his families is that sometimes, seemingly ordinary people have some very extraordinary tales to tell.
