Publisher's Summary
Teacher Kate Abbott's fresh start in Still Harbor was the beginning of the life she and her two best friends had always imagined for themselves. Still, being a working single parent hasn't exactly improved Kate's love life. But Kate's preference for nachos over men quickly disappears when she meets the oh-so-sexy Matt Lane.
Until she finds out he's a cop.
Matt is a former cop-turned-private investigator, and he knows fear when he sees it. A cop clearly spooked Kate...or hurt her. Still, something about the gorgeous professor catches his attention, and despite his "no settling down" policy, he can't resist her. But all of the attraction in the world won't be enough to overcome Kate's past....

Didn't quote live up to the blurb.
I liked the history of the characters.
At first, I thought the guy Kate was running from had hired Matt to find her.
I didn't feel the chemistry between the characters.
The narration threw me off. It felt stilted and didn't flow as well as I like in audio. I also felt uncomfortable with the narrators' interpretation of Kate's daughter's, who has down syndrome, dialogue.

The most moving and Loving Ever After, Ever!
It's impossible to imagine the horror some people live through. This may be fiction, but I saw so much of it as a South Australian Police Officer. This is the best picture in words of real life and definitely the most realistic narration. I was so moved and caught up in it all. A great tear jerker.
