Publisher's Summary
Welcome to Creighton Falls, New York...a town time forgot where miracles happen....
Glamorous city girl Hannah Ford wasn’t thinking when she walked out of a Christmas party and drove 300 miles into a snowstorm; she just needed to escape. Thankfully local carpenter Sam Taylor comes to her rescue, and the unlikely pair is forced to spend a snowed-in Christmas together.
All Sam planned for Christmas was to get drunk alone. The holiday has always been something to be endured, until Hannah tumbles into his life, making it magical. Now Hannah and Sam have a chance to have a Christmas together...and make it the best one either of them have ever had.
But can one night out of reality turn into something that’s lasting and real?

Nice avo
Nice to spend a day listening to this story took me away from my home. I envisaged that white snow and beautiful settings very easily as they were read.

This is Kate Hewitt’s first short story I’ve listened to.
As with her full length stories Kate has drawn the story together. It was a change to listen to a short one and I could imagine myself out in the snowfall even though I am struggling in an Australian heatwave which has been made bearable for a duration. I admire the author for the way she researches all of her writings and then joins the pieces together to take a reader or listener away for a while and into a false reality where one can escape.
