About this listen

When a mission ends in disaster—there is no way to achieve the objective, no way to regroup and try again, no plan B, no hope—all you can do is fall back into FAILURE MODE and try to salvage whatever you can.

...if it is even possible to save anything, or anyone.

The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight.

Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Good story

Apart from ending with a Deus Ex Machina, I liked this story. Sad to see it end.

A Worthy Read for Filthy Monkeys

listening to the finalè of any loved series will be an emotional roller-coaster.
Failure Mode touches on all the major themes, storylines, and characters that have made the Expeditionary Force a great series.
Listen out for the talking dog reference.

R.C. Bray Absolutely Slayed It.

Definitely a worthy read for this Monkey.

Addictive action

Fabulous story, hope this is not the end of the series. Would like to see the aliens from the other side of the barrier show up.

Is this really the last one????

What a series Mr Alanson has said this is the last one in the series. Fingers crossed there are many more Joe and Skippy adventures to come what a series. If you are reading this review and trying to figure out if you should listen/read it start from book one you have many hours of awesome story telling in front of you. Of course RC Bray could make a phone book sound exciting but with this material 6 stars..... Thank you Craig and R.C. what a team.
