About this listen

Once a loyal son of the Emperor's Children, Fabius Bile now loathes those he once called brother. But when a former comrade requests his aid on a mission he cannot refuse, Bile is drawn once more into the sinister machinations of his former Legion.

Here We Go Killin Again

This is a story of a demented, immortal, elderly surgeon on a quest to show they galaxy that no one knows the HUSTLE.
Knew it was a good story when I found myself about to surgically attach the neighbours cat to a bird.
10/10 would read again

Great once the story gets going

The story is great. My only gripe was that the first quarter/half of the book felt like a rehash of themes from the first book, especially with regards to the 3rd Legion and people wanting to rebuild it. The plot points that lead up to the main thrust of the book felt identical to many in the first book. Once this story gets its unique plot points its great.

Bile's Back: bitter, twisted & tragic as ever!

Fabius Bile is one of the most curious, original and compelling characters of the 40k universe. yes, he's a total monster. But he's also totally relatable. a villain you can't help but cheer on.
Suberb writing and a complex, twisting storyline packed with imaginative characters, Clonelord is one of the best 40k boom I've heard in a while, and a perfect example of why Bile remains such an interesting antihero to explore.

twenty centuries of stony sleep were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle.

A fantastic tragedy for Fabius Bile and the Emperor's Children. Equal to the first book in the series, if not greater. There's an incredible amount of depth to the chaos space marines added here that elevates them beyond being 1 dimensional chaotic evil space marines. references to the Yeats poem early on give you a hint to the story to come.
