About this listen
Tori stared at the screen. "Wait, what? How long is three hundred and fifty-five hours?"
"It's about fifteen days, Tori," the commissioner sighed. "If we don't get the trinity back online within fifteen days—give or take—there won't be enough power capacity left to bring it back up, and the reactor will be past the point of no return. Without the reactor, this ship is going to get very cold, and everyone will freeze to death."
Desperate to get the surgery she needs, Tori transfers aboard the Sailor's Gambit I to catch a vigilante. But the situation quickly unravels, and our unlikely investigator discovers that a serial killer on the loose is the very least of her problems.

A murder mystery, intriguing, exciting, wow
This is the second book in the murder mysteries series, where space kangaroos are pretty much just trying to live their life, floating about in space, looking for planets for their krakun masters.
Tori is no exception, having been horribly injured in the previous book, and she's now seeking someone that can give her the surgery she needs. She's had to take her skills from the previous murder she solved, but instead of everyone wanting to help her she's now faced with massive resistance to even start the investigation.
The story builds up, giving you hints and tricks, opening you up to Tori's personal situation and how she deals with it despite the disadvantages.
Then just when everything seems to finally go her way, everything changes. Stakes raise up, she's faced with dilemmas that are far more important than solving a murder and has to deal with the consequences for all that.
The finale is satisfying, the twists are amazing and I loved this story. Rafe has done an excellent job at conveying all the emotions, especially with such tricky transitions between characters. It was so easy to sink into the story. Please continue your good work and I look forward to the next story - Tori or otherwise!
