About this listen

Risk everything . . . for love with this #1 New York Times bestseller.

What if you couldn’t touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face . . . or kiss the boy next door? In Everything, Everything, Maddy is a girl who’s literally allergic to the outside world, and Olly is the boy who moves in next door . . . and becomes the greatest risk she’s ever taken.

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He's tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

Everything, Everything will make you laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. It's an innovative, inspiring, and heartbreakingly romantic debut novel that unfolds via vignettes, diary entries, and more.

And don’t miss Nicola Yoon's The Sun Is Also A Star, the #1 New York Times bestseller in which two teens are brought together just when it seems like the universe is sending them in opposite directions.

Better book than audiobook

This story has many chapters that are short lists, emails, or IM exchanges, which I found hard to follow without seeing the written version. Also, the main narrator has a robotic intonation.

Fantastic book

*SPOILER ALERT*

This is a WONDERFUL book! There is a little intimacy at one point, but other than that, the book is AMAZING! It tells a wonderful story of a girl who is allergic to the world. In the end she finds out that she wasn't sick at all, but that her mum still hadn't recovered from the main character, Maddie's father and brother dying. Maddie finds love in this story and goes to places she always dreamed of going but couldn't. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good romantic and sad but happy book. It's just amazing.

Thought provoking

Despite a few doubtful elements in the plot, the story held my attention from beginning to end. Young adults should love it.

Average at best

I found the narration to be so painfully slow that I was forced to speed the audio to make it bearable. I also deduced the plot and "twist" long before the reveal. Overall disappointing recommendation.

Everything Everything :BEST BOOK EVER

This book was so good I just had to keep listening to it over and over again and again. I love the characters in this book and the story was wonderful. Madeline is such an inspiration and clearly shows you need to protect the ones you love (in her case Ollie). I really love this book and I now know why it had such high ratings and I think everyone should recommend this book to others, who I am sure will love it as much as I did!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
