About this listen

I was dreading the Cunningham family reunion even before the first murder.

Before the storm stranded us at the mountain resort, snow and bodies piling up.

The thing is, us Cunninghams don't really get along. We've only got one thing in common: we've all killed someone.

My brother.

My step-sister.

My wife.

My father.

My mother.

My sister-in-law.

My uncle.

My stepfather.

My aunt.

Me.

Utterly unique

Such a unique crime novel! Stevenson has written this from the perspective of a survivor who has written a crime novel about his experiences, who is then describing the book and his experience to you the audience. So unusual but such an interesting narrative style. Completely recommend this book, even if only to hear this totally different approach to crime novels.

ok

I didn't like the style of narration from the perspective of the main character writing the book. The "its real" but it's not real angle has always confused me. it doesn't add anything to the story except to constantly take you out of it. frustrating and annoying. the story itself was ok but the writter had to keep on killing main characters just to tie up loose ends and propel the story. not my thing.

Great Aussie read!

This was my first audiobook- and can I just say I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think I’d enjoy being read to- or that my imagination would come alive as much as If I was reading it myself, but honestly I did quite enjoy it. The narrator did a superb job, and the book itself was interesting and hooked me in from the start. I will definitely be looking forward to more from this great Aussie author.

Loved it!

A unique, quirky novel that keeps you interested from start to finish.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that that it would is written by an Australian so the locations are familiar.

Looking forward to the movie.

Also have to say that Barton Welch’s narration was wonderful.

A different take on a murder mystery

I really liked this book for it's original take on a murder mystery. There are lots of characters who are extremely intertwined so you need to keep your wits about you but a very enjoyable read.
