The teaching of this book concerns me deeply

I’ve read one of Charity’s books before (Hearing God through your Dreams) and appreciated her significant focus and reliance on relevant Scriptures to support her message.

But this book is totally different. It’s as if she’s gone right off course, mis-applying the few Scriptures on angelic visitations to promote the highly dangerous practise of seeking out and communicating with spirits on a daily basis )whom she claims are her guardian angels).

As far as I have been able to find, there are NO Scriptures which encourage humans actively to seek out and engage with angels - or, indeed, any spirit beings, other than the Holy Spirit. In fact to do so is strictly forbidden.

When interactions between mankind and angels take place in Scripture, the initiative is only EVER God’s - both to send angels, and to allow them to appear to mankind.

As someone who operates in deliverance ministry, I see such encouragements as “getting to know your guardian angels, asking their names, and/or talking to them daily”, as being the preserve of the occult.

Endorsements by well-known Christian names will never persuade me to take part in - or regard as “legitimate” - practices that are never encouraged nor legitimised by God, through Scripture.

Sorry Charity - I think you’ve got this one completely wrong. How did that happen?

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
