About this listen
Tormented and racked with guilt over the brutal slaying of his wife and daughter, Charlie Parker, ex-cop with the NYPD, agrees to track down a missing girl. It is a search that will lead him into an abyss of evil.
At the same time, he is warned by an old black woman in Louisiana that "The Travelling Man" is about to strike again. Multiple strands converge with a horrific confrontation in which hunter and hunted are intimately connected by guilt.

Great story.
Read the book several times then read most of his other books. John Connolly is a genius.

Too long
It went on and on and I found myself losing the plot and who was who.

Great narration
Jeff Harding has won me over to another writer. A interesting and fascinating story with interesting characters brought to life by the narration. Off to buy book 2 now.

Loved it
Suspenseful, supernatural and scary; I highly enjoyed the combination. This is a really strong series.

Slightly tedious
This is my favourite genre and I was really hoping to love this but it just felt lacking in something? The story seemed to jump around and was at times difficult to keep track of characters and time lines. With so many characters it was also difficult to become invested in any to any great degree. Narrators voice at times was quite cliche, and was actually slightly relived when this came to an end. Sad but true

Good overall but a bit long and slightly disjointed
Too many random characters without introduction or obvious context, and the plot meanders a lot. Great narration by Jeff Harding which saves it.
