Unknown to most, there is a secret society of people who call themselves the Gifted. With powers that can only be described as supernatural, they zealously guard their territories across the United States.

Despite their origins, they are separated into Five Families. Each Family has a Gift, some stronger than the other but all inherited from a mystical Great Mother, a legendary figure in their secret world.
