About this listen

Regan Earle was a robotics scientist that inadvertently caused the robot takeover of the world. When his last creation completes a decade-long plan to end his own life, he ends up surprised. Creation offers him a second chance to test his wits and cunning in another world. Fate, however, is fickle and Regan ends up as a Dungeon Core...with all his memories. Is the world of Murgin ready to face such a dungeon? Let's find out....

Earth 2150. Nearly 20 years since the robot uprising, where all AIs designed by inventor Dr. Regan Earle went rogue and started to take over the world. Or at least, that's what everyone thought until a year later Earle himself sent out a message. A message that stated his creations would shut down if he were killed. He even went so far as to place a beacon on top of his building that broadcasted his location. The humans fought against the machines for decades in a futile attempt to destroy the tower. Until one day....

Necromancy storylines suck.

Necromancy storylines are so overdone, I was enjoying the new take on a dungeon core story although I was a bit confused on why he didn't build hundreds of power stations in a virtuous cycle while they were still providing maximal gains - which is why I guess he needed a threat to combat like necros - but still its most generic enemy available I think a bit more effort into the villian and it would be a better book.

Finally the classic light novel, Litrpg experience

It's not my house of horrors or monarch of evernight. Still it was an average LN/progression fantasy/Wuxia experience. Let's be honest none of us read those genres because it consists of ungodly levels of writing quality. The MC uses his considerable power decently and isn't too infuriatingly morale nor is he a white night. The power actually reliably goes up. It was a comfortable ride that is really hard to find on audible. It wasn't amazing but finally a book here in This genre that's enjoyable. The premise is interesting and fun too (kinda the whole point of these kinds of books) if you're a writing snob give it a go, keep your expectations low, forget abt the character development and gigantic tension buildups and just enjoy it for what it is. A pleasant ride to watch from an omniscient view,

I hate to upset an author but …

Rambling but enthusiastic and deeply superficial. Numerous mispronunciations eg “viscount” as Viss count” difficult to follow snd barely eorth the effort if you can.

Good premise, stale writing and monotone voice acting.

The premise for this story was good, ans certain parts of the world seem interesting. But the characters are very monotone with little depth. They dont seem to have any crisis over their situation and just seem fine with it. The voice acting unfortunately also sounds just like a script is being read rather than characters talking. Theres no pauses or pacing it all comes out in a steady stream.
